Since our establishment in 2001, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to not only providing shelter but also offering comprehensive support services to individuals and families in need. Through innovative programs and robust community partnerships, we work tirelessly to develop lasting solutions to homelessness and pave the way for a brighter future for all members of our community.

Not to mention

Macedonia, poised to support the homeless in our community!

Our facility endured significant flood damage following a nearby city water utility main break, impacting both our resident transportation vehicles and rendering the shelter uninhabitable. Regrettably, we are currently unable to accommodate individuals at the facility. Renovation efforts commenced on March 1, 2024, and are anticipated to conclude by year-end, with estimated restoration costs exceeding $100,000.

We are eager to resume providing shelter and support to those facing hardships, and your assistance is greatly appreciated as we work toward this goal.

And let's not forget

Our Programs

Our organization is dedicated to providing support and resources for all housing-related needs to underserved individuals, including the disabled, seniors, veterans, and young men and women facing challenging circumstances. We offer programs specifically designed to meet the unique needs of these groups. Additionally, we promote sustainable living in underserved communities through renewable energy initiatives.

Our Story

Founded by Chair Executive Director Marilyn Williams, we initially began as an assisted living facility in Powder Springs, GA, with a primary focus on helping disabled individuals achieve greater independence. As we settled into our new space, we noticed a significant need among disabled individuals, veterans, and seniors who were homeless or lacked essential support services. In response, we expanded our mission, partnering with community services to provide referrals and assistance.

Recognizing the overwhelming need, we took decisive action to provide comprehensive support. Our efforts now include providing housing, clothing, food, transportation, job readiness training, and credit counseling.
